So far so good at ig:lu. It was a good turn out last night despite Mother Nature trying to ruin the fun with snow. It was an interesting head space to be in, what with my first public appearance and feeling as though I had a piece of my soul on display. Didn’t feel nervous until I arrived. Making conversation can sometimes be my worst enemy especially when I’m a little on edge. Found myself keeping busy with some last minute preparations in the safety of the office downstairs which helped, but obviously didn’t make me face the issue. I vow to be a social goddess at the closing night Dec 21st (which means I will probably need to get moderately intoxicated). Come along and watch to see whether I squirm or soar. Make me uncomfortable by not responding to feeble attempts at chit chat or better yet, give me something to work with. Either way, it could be entertaining.
Thanks to support of friends and hubby for making me sweat ever-so-slightly less. (Can’t believe I wore a sweater.)
